Gold at the 2010 Sommelier Wine Awards

The results of the Sommelier Wine Awards 2010 have just been announced, and the Chapel Hill McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon 2005 was Gold Listed.

The Sommelier Wine Awards, now in its fourth year, is Britain’s only on-trade wine competition. Wines entered must be available to the on-trade and must not be available in mainstream off-trade outlets. Wines are judged by professionals from the on-trade sector.

Judges tasting notes — “Stewed, ripe black fruit and cedarwood notes lead to deep black cassis on the palate with a fresh long finish. A rich wine that’s great value for money.”
