We are about half way through the crush.  The open cellar is full of delicious Shiraz which we will start to press off today.  So by Wednesday or Thursday we should be filling oak barrels.  We have pressed off the first round of wine and the 2017 Parson Shiraz looks fantastic.  Black fruits, heaps of spice and amazing colour.

This week we have:

*the last pick of Rose today

*McLaren Vale Shiraz on Tuesday

*More McLaren Vale and the Vicar Shiraz on Wednesday

*Parson Cabernet on Friday

Hopefully this weekend will push things along and a few more blocks will be ready by the end of the week.

This weekend just gone also saw the first of the VIP Vintage Experiences for 2017 take place at the winery (group photo above).  These special friends of Chapel Hill took a first-hand look at Vintage 2017, followed by a long table lunch hosted by the Chapel Hill team and tastings of not-yet-released wines.  The experience was enjoyed by all!
