2018 Verdelho

The 2018 is brimming with aromas of passionfruit, blackcurrant and a twist of green herb. Tropical fruit and lemongrass flavours are deliciously intertwined with a delicious pithy texture. A beautiful tingly citrus acid line provides both harmony and focus.

Growing Conditions: Heavy winter rains filled the soil profile and set the vines up well. Ideal growing conditions through spring encouraged a healthy canopy.
A comparatively cool and dry February and March allowed the vines to ripen at a steady pace, retaining natural acidity and developing bright fruit flavours at lower sugar levels.
Food Pairing: Flame grilled sardines splashed with fresh lemon juice.
