Hand-picked, crushed, destemmed, open ferment, 11 days on skins, basket-pressed, matured in French oak hogsheads (18% new) for 20 months. Chapel Hill is a shiraz specialist making multiple styles from the one region. House Block fits nicely into the friendly shiraz category, it's so easy to get to know. Upfront fruit power all the way charged by black berries, licorice, black olive savouriness and dark chocolate. Warm toasty oak caps off an archetypal Aussie shiraz.
